Dr Ruan F Venter obtained his MB,ChB degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2007. He completed his 2 years of internship training at Groote Schuur Hospital. In 2010, during his community service year, Dr Venter decided to further his education and completed a diploma in Primary Emergency Care (Dip PEC) via the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa  (CMSA).

 

He decided to broaden his horizons and for the next 5 years Dr Venter was part of a successful family physician practice in Alberta, Canada where he gained valuable experience of medicine in a first world setting.

 

It was also during this time that he decided to specialize in the field of Family Medicine and he successfully completed his CCFP qualification (Certified Canadian Family Physician) via the CFPC (College of Family Physicians of Canada).

 

Dr Venter is passionate about quality health care centered around families and preventative medicine. He is skilled at maternity care, labour and delivery, infant and paediatric follow up. He has received praise for his chronic disease management, men's health, woman's health and psychiatric health care.
